Watch - evo Track Evening in association with Sky Insurance

Editor Nick Trott laps Bedford Autodrome in his Porsche 911 SC

evo Track Evenings - in association with Sky Insurance, The Performance Car Insurance Specialists - are renowned as being professionally run, friendly and fun environments where car enthusiasts from all walks of life can come together to enjoy driving. We’ve already enjoyed two successful gatherings this summer, so we’re now left with just two remaining sessions – Friday 10 July and Friday 7 August. In our new video, Editor Nick Trott explains why one of his favourite cars to take on track is his very own 1982 Porsche 911 SC.

The car and its 3-litre flat-six might lack the overall pace and grip of Henry Catchpole’s recent Track Evening weapon – watch him on track in the Porsche 911 GT3 here – but thanks to its sub-1100kg kerb weight and ultra-responsive throttle, it’s more than capable at entertaining on Bedford Autodrome’s fast flowing circuit.

With fans of evo and evo staffers alike bringing a mix of hot hatches, sports cars and supercars to our Track Evenings, there’s as much fun to be had ogling each others’ cars off circuit as there is on. You might even be lucky enough to grab a passenger ride with one of evo’s experienced road testers.

Before you do, ride onboard with Trott above to see what it’s like to drive a lap at an evo Track Evening. If you want to join us for one or both of the remaining sessions, you can find more information here. And to reserve yourself a space, click here
