McLaren MP4-12C GTR

Excellent racing car alert: the McLaren MP4-12C supercar dons motorsport overalls

Nothing beats a coolly liveried racing car, and this gaggle of race-ready McLaren MP4-12C supercars is certainly no different. There’s a colour and sponsor combination to suit all tastes, each one of them worn by McLaren’s previous supercar, the superlative F1. You’ve no doubt got your favourite, be it the legendary Marlboro or Gulf schemes, or the nice simple carbon black look. The Ferrari 458-baiting MP4-12C’s 3.8-litre V8 engine lies beneath the bodywork, with 600bhp and 442lb ft on tap, enough for a 200mph+ top speed. Sadly none of these racing MP4s are official (yet…), with web artist jonsibal.com responsible for the master photoshoppery. Real or not, they’re achingly cool pictures. Let’s hope McLaren agrees. Click here to read our full story on the MP4-12C See McLaren’s MD talk us through the new car Peruse 25 hi-res pictures of the McLaren supercar See how the McLaren F1 perfomed in evo’s track test Follow evo on Twitter or Facebook for car news + views
