2023 Volkswagen Polo GTI Edition 25 priced from £31,295
The limited-run Polo GTI Edition 25 features a number of unique design touches inside and out, and it goes on sale later this week
Volkswagen has announced pricing for its limited-run Polo GTI Edition 25, celebrating 25 years of the hot supermini. Limited to 2500 units worldwide, the model is equipped with a host of standard kit and unique design tweaks inside and out. The UK will receive just 350 examples, with prices starting from £31,295 – order books open on August 3.
Marking a quarter of a century of the Polo GTI, the Edition 25 is equipped with unique 18-inch ‘Adelaide’ wheels in gloss black, with a gloss black roof and mirror caps to match. The door sill plates are swapped for new ‘One of 2,500’ items, with ‘25’ door decals setting the special edition apart from an ordinary GTI.

While the Edition 25 has received some unique design elements, traditional GTI cues remain. Red brake calipers come as standard, alongside matching red exterior trim strips, red GTI badges on the wings, a honeycomb design front grille and twin chrome exhaust tips.
Inside, there are heated, premium leather sports seats as standard, with gloss black trim, red GTI lettering, wireless phone charging and a rear-view camera also coming as part of the package – adaptive IQ.Light LED matrix headlights are also included at no extra cost. Buyers will be able to option the model in Pure White, Kings Red Metallic, Reef Blue Metallic and Smoke Grey Metallic, with Ascot Grey a new addition.
Performance of the Edition 25 remains untouched, with its 2-litre turbocharged four-cylinder producing the same 204bhp and 236lb ft as before. Power is sent to the front wheels via a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission, enabling it to reach 62mph from a standstill in 6.5sec.
Carrying a reasonable premium of just £2390 over the standard car, the Volkswagen Polo GTI Edition 25 is priced from £31,295 in the UK. Order books open on August 3, with just 350 of the 2500 examples destined for our shores.
