New C1 and 107
Dinky Citroen and Peugeot city cars get an update
Citroen and Peugeot have timed facelifted versions of their platform-sharing city cars to perfection, as the credit crunches and buyers downsize to much smaller, cleaner vehicles. The C1 and 107 have been on sale for around three years now, and alongside the Toyota Aygo - which makes up the third of the titchy triplets - they've established themselves as city car favourites.
This is backed up by the minor level of the facelift, which amounts to a chromed-up grille on both. It brings the C1 (red and grey car) in line with the updated C2, and the 107 (dark red car) closer to its hugely successful 207 big brother. The fresher looks also bring attention to the cleaner version of the 1-litre, 3-cylinder engine that lies beneath.
Emissions are down to 106g/km, making it the lowest polluting petrol on sale in the UK, while fuel economy gains a boost up to 62.8mpg. There are also new wheel designs and some interior fettling, with Pug 107 buyers getting the chance to match the interior colours with the exterior. Prices for both shouldn't rise too much above their current £7545 kick-off.
