Pictures of classic Lamborghini concept emerge
While Lamborghini teases us with snippets of the all-new model it’ll be taking to the Paris motor show, pictures of a restored icon have been revealed. It’s the Lamborghini Bertone Miura Spyder, a beautiful one-off show car that was crafted forty years ago by Bertone before being revealed to Ferruccio Lamborghini at the 1968 Brussels auto salon. It was based on a standard Miura Berlinetta, but as an open-top was deemed impossible for production due to chassis issues. After a tour of the year’s motor shows, it crawled off into obscurity. It has since changed hands several times, until it was bought by a New York property developer in December 2006. They had it fully (and expensively) restored to its original Brussels format of light metallic blue with off-white leather interior. The car had been finished in green when Lamborghini got its hands on it, but the new owner has happily returned it to Bertone’s intended specification.
