Lola T70 sells out

Lola has now sold all five of the T70 'continuation series' racers it built to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first ever Can Am race

Lola has now sold all five of the T70 'continuation series' racers it decided to build to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first ever Can Am race – won by a T70 driven by John Surtees.

The term ‘continuation series’ refers to cars recreated to original specification by their original manufacturers, and the decision to revive the iconic T70 was inspired by Lola’s current owner, Martin Birrane, who previously owned the genuine article and fancied another. Some of the engineers working on the continuation series cars also built T70s the first time around.

Lola believes that several of the continuation cars will be raced by owners, and at least one is expected to compete in the Le Mans Classic endurance series.
