The new Merc CLK will be bigger, yet more elegant, than the outgoing model
Here’s prove Mercedes is hard working on the next generation CLK. Yet bigger and yet a bit more elegant than the outgoing model, the new CLK (and CLK convertible) will be based on the C-Class saloon. It goes without saying, however, that refinement will be done to the chassis to meet expectations of the somewhat more ambitious coupé-drivers. Visible for the first times in these exclusive shots is the new shape of the headlights which are somewhat closer to the new E-Class than to the current C. Engines, on the other hand, will come from the C-class line-up and will include a V8 for a CLK 500. We expect the car to arrive at the dealers in summer 2009 with the soft-top following just a few months later.
