Jaguar XKR Goodwood special
Tweaked Jaguar XKR sports coupe stars at Goodwood Festival of Speed
Jaguar showcased a rather special XKR coupe at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The one-off edition gets an indiscreet exterior, with a striking and rather un-Jaguar paint job – lime green with orange and grey decals – as well as new 21in black alloys and a host of graphite details.
It’s not all about show either, with a tweaked version of Jaguar’s new supercharged 5-litre V8 boasting around 530bhp and 520lb ft of torque (the standard car has 503bhp and 461lb ft) starring alongside suspension tweaks borrowed from the Jaguar XKRS and some new infinitely adaptive Bilstein dampers.
To add to the raised power and loudness of the outside there’s also a rortier exhaust note.
For now this is the only one, with no firm production plans, but a rapturous response could lead to a lairier road-going XKR. Fingers are firmly crossed…
