Ferrari record-breaker
Ferrari sells for a record £8.1M at auction and evo witnesses the hammer going down...
Evo was in Maranello on Sunday the 17th May to see a collection of handpicked Ferrari and Maserati cars go under the hammer.
The star of the auction was undoubtedly a wonderful 1957 250 TR, which achieved the greatest price ever seen in an auction for a Ferrari, raising 9,020,000Euros, some 1,980,000Euros more than Chris Evans paid last year for his Ferrari California Spyder.
The eventual buyer was a telephone bidder, who was competing with another bidder present at the auction on the night.
