BMW X4 review - What is BMW's mini X6 like? - Performance and 0-60 time

The small SUV coupe is undoubtedly capable, but it just isn't as talented as other, more performance oriented SUVs

  • Comfortable with a range of impressive diesel engines
  • Doesn't have the agility of other sporting SUVs

Performance and 0-60 time

The outright performance and acceleration figures are hardly that important for a diesel SUV, no matter how low and sleek its silhouette might be. However, that hasn’t stopped BMW granting the X4 some respectable performance.

The xDrive20d accelerates from 0 to 62mph in 8sec and has a top speed of 132mph, whether fitted with an auto or manual gearbox. The 3-litre straight-six models are, predictably, quicker. The 30d reaches 62mph in an impressive 5.8sec and goes on to a top speed of 145mph. The 35d, with the same engine as the 30d just a different state of tune, is faster still, hitting 62mph from a standstill in 5.2sec and a top speed of 153mph.
