MINI's 4WD Crossover Concept will be making an appearance at the Paris Show
Currently a design study for the fourth variant in MINI’s current range, the Crossover Concept, hopes the German maker, will lure new target groups into the world of MINI. Hmmm....
Measuring over four metres, the Concept’s longer than stock. Unusually, one of the four doors (passenger door on driver's side) slides along the exterior of the car, to help cargo and loading access. The frameless rear door has a retractable window which, when open, swivels to one side to allow carrying of long items: ladders, surfboards and what have you.
Tall rear passengers can gain up to 13cm additional legroom if need be and a novel central rail extending from the dashboard to the rear of the car allows fitment of cuprails, storage devices, etc, to be passed from front to rear.
A futuristic-looking dashboard-mounted Centre Globe controls entertainment, nav functions and also hosts the stop/start engine function.
