Exige gets track kit

With its eye on the trackday market and club motorsport, Lotus has introduced the Exige Cup, kitted out with uprated clutch, adjustable sports suspension, ballsier brakes, limited-slip diff, switchable traction control, roll-hoops, plumbed-in extinguisher, lightweight alloys with Yokohama Advan A048 rubber, and external kill switches for the fuel and ignition.

The Cup can be specified with either the regular 189bhp Exige motor or the supercharged 243bhp unit from the 240R, but only the latter will be sold in the UK. Lotus Sport will build the Cups as pre-registered factory conversions. The Exige Cup 240 costs £45,995.
