Jaguar’s fastest production model since the 1992 XJ220, the XKR-S, has been officially unveiled at Geneva. The modified 5.0-litre AJ-V8 engine produces 542bhp and 502lb ft of torque, enough for 0-60 and 0-100mph acceleration figures of 4.2 and 8.6 seconds (respectively) and a 186mph top speed.
The ‘S’ is outwardly different to other XKs by virtue of a rear spoiler, new sills, vents and chin spoiler. It is the only car in its class to emit less than 300g/km of CO2, and is likely to cost around £97,000.
