Caterham Levante: Caterham Levante

Limited-run V8 Caterham has now sold out

The severely limited-edition Caterham Levante, that evo drove in September, has now officially sold out. With just eight made, owners are assured membership of a very exclusive club.

The Levante will have set them back a fairly hefty £115,000, but it's perhaps a small price to pay for a car that musters up a power to weight ratio that's almost twice that of the Bugatti Veyron, with over 500bhp being produced by the 520kg Caterham. A two day advanced training course comes as part of the package to ensure drivers can handle the power of a V8 in such a lightweight package.

It comes on the back of one of Caterham's most successful summer sales periods, as the established British sports car maker beats the downturn in performance car sales brought on by the current financial crisis.
