The Citroen DS3 Racing is the firm's long awaited return to the hot hatchback class. With its 1.6-litre turbocharged engine producing 204bhp, and lashings of carbonfibre inside and out, it's also Citroen's hottest and most striking assault on the hot hatch establishment yet.

But can it topple key foes in the shape of the Renaultsport Clio 200 Cup and Mini John Cooper Works, as well as alternative choices in the shape of the old-school Vauxhall Corsa VXR and twin-clutch gearbox-equipped Volkswagen Polo GTI?
