Ex-Lamborghini executive takes top job at Morgan

Current CEO Steve Morris to become Executive Chairman

Morgan management

Morgan has announced that it has hired ex-Lamborghini Chief Project Management Officer Massimo Fumarola to be its new CEO with immediate effect. Steve Morris, Morgan’s previous CEO will take the role of Executive Chairman, and work with Fumarola in the continued expansion of the iconic British car manufacturer.

Between the two of them, Morgan is hoping to continue its growth trajectory after successful product launches including the new Plus Six and Plus Four, as well as the all-new 3-Wheeler which is due to commence production in the coming months. Massimo Fumarola comes with 25 years of experience in the industry, most recently in a top role at Lamborghini as a member of the management board.

Steve Morris, current CEO and Chairman of Morgan Motor Company, commented on the news: ‘This is an extremely important appointment for the Morgan Motor Company. Massimo joins Morgan at a time when it is perfectly primed and positioned for future growth and further success. Therefore, it’s crucial that we have found someone of Massimo’s calibre, passion, and experience to work alongside me to help further cement the company’s recognition as one of the world’s most iconic sports car brands.’

Massimo Fumarola also commented: ‘Morgan Motor Company has a unique reputation for its rich heritage, distinctive styling, and superlative craftsmanship. As a sports car enthusiast, it’s an enormous honour to join such an iconic brand as CEO and work together with Steve to help amplify everything the company stands for.

Morgan’s recent success has come after a string of new product launches that have taken a very fine hand to its traditional product, buffing away some of the rough edges while keeping that inherent Morgan character intact. This is a trend the new management duo will no doubt intend on maintaining, continuing Morgan’s success story.
